New Year's Eve

PB early morning.

A new swell hit San Diego today. I surfed Beacon's in the late morning: it was very crowded with too many longboards to get around... I briefly talked to Ari and Traci who will spend the next 2 days in North County. I jammed down to Sunset Cliffs. Paddled out around 2 pm. An extremely low tide produced a classic over-head endless left between Chasm and New Break. Another fantastic session to close the year. Unfortunately Ari couldn't join me, forced to get back to LA on his way back to North Carolina. We sadly departed with hopes to reunite during his next visit in spring.
