The Owl

Legendary surfer Owl Chapman joined forces with master shaper Dick Brewer in the late 70's. The collaboration, based on their friendship and mutual esteem, gave birth to few boards of outstanding quality under the logo Brewer/Underground Hawaii.

Owl Chapman proved to be a fine shaper and I treasure the ownership of one of his boards from the early 80's.

After many years of surfing I started understanding the complexity of creating surfboards and the craftmanship behind it. There are many mediocre shapers out there but only a few real masters.
