Weekends with Henri

Henri visited from Hawaii for work and we spent another mellow weekend in San Diego. It was fun on Saturday, although the surf was quite small. We caught a few waves at the Cliffs in the morning and we got wet in PB in the afternoon. Henri purchased a 9'6" South Coast Noserider from a friend who was moving out of town. It should work fine on the South Shore of Ohau. In the evening we attended the screening of the classic surf flick Super Session (Hal Japsen) from 1975. I particularly enjoyed the introduction by Peter Townend. He had some classic stories to share from that era. His memories of Topanga Canyon and surfing the Ranch in the early 70's were very interesting. Henri took a morning flight on Sunday and fortunately the board arrived in Honolulu without a scratch!
