Calliandra californica

The change of season benefited the native pack providing colder nights and higher humidity in the air, which translated in healthier leaves and fewer noxious bugs. The sages are still recovering from the second summer invasion of foreign moths. Salvia Apiana was the most affected.

Calliandra californica is thriving as well as the Ceanothus species. California poppies have been introduced a few months ago after the foundation of the garden was established; they are doing exceptionally well.
